At John Pomp Studios, boutique furniture and lighting design studio, up to a dozen individual artists can be involved in executing each finished piece. Each artist or team of artists specializing in their medium must work in close concert to maintain the strict tolerances and quality standards.
As Master Glazier, I was responsible for the arrangement, fabrication, and finishing of the stained glass panels featured in the studio’s signature line of credenzas, armoires, and consoles.

This is another piece requiring a number of specialists working in concert. As the Kiln Tech, I was responsible for casting, shaping, and finishing the glass tabletops. I spearheaded extensive experimentation with glass formulations, firing schedules, temperature variations, and finishing techniques in order to develop a set of procedures that ensured consistent, repeatable results across this brand new product line.
